Persephone sails with Charon – the ferryman- across the river Styx over and enters the realm of
ghosts, the
Hades, (search for the myth of
Persephone https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persephone_(mythologie) ).
The background is a black piece of fabric that is completely
machine-stitched with white thread and here and there a somewhat thicker
woollen, cotton or colored thread.
I walked into the realm of the dead with my love. He stayed there and i
had to leave again.Now I live as Persophene in two worlds. Now in the dark
kingdom of ghosts, then again on the cheerful Olympus that he and I built, and
am amazed that the world is flourishing again.

liep met mijn lief het dodenrijk binnen. Hij bleef daar en ik moest het weer
verlaten. Nu leef ik als Persephone in twee werelden. Nu eens in het duistere
schimmenrijk, dan weer op de vrolijke Olympus, die hij en ik gebouwd hebben en
verwonder me dat de wereld toch weer bloeit. )
